Chronic

Personally for me, my chronic issues are a huge factor in my mental health. I have chronic migraines and GI issues. I feel like my GI issues play a huge role in my mental health. I have had them my whole life and no one can figure out what is the cause. I’ve gone through years and years of testing with no answers. I’ve had surgeries, tons of medications, you name it. I’ve changed my diet numerous times, cut things out, etc. And even though I’ve had these issues my whole life, I still get very self conscious about it. I feel embarrassed, anxious, depressed, like sometimes all I want to is break down and cry.

I am still working towards getting some form of resolution. I am not giving up. I know suffering with any chronic disease is tough even more so with mental health playing a part too. But don’t give up. My ultimate goal when I have the funds is to get the testing done in Istanbul. I’ve done a lot of research and have seen they have the capability of catching things a lot of American medicine misses.

If you suffer from chronic issues as well, make sure you are seeing someone for it. And if you are and they don’t have answers or are barely making the manageable try and find other opinions. I know that’s easier said than done, trust me I do. But, your wellbeing is important. Keep pushing through. You got this.
